Liza has been through a lot and she lets you in, as much as she can given justified trust issues. When things get a little too heavy - she plays the perfect disco track to remind us that there are many ways to get through grief. Like... you can sing and dance through it!...

Based on the show's stated goal, I'd say it was Mission Accomplished! By the end of the show, I did indeed feel lighter, more connected, and more joyful! (I did not learn any new dance moves, but that has more to do with my own skills as a dancer)
It was such a joy to be in a theater full of people ready to embrace the healing journey this shows seeks to take you on, and keen to take in the medicinal powers of disco. And Liza's talents and charisma are on full display. I also had the pleasure of taking in this show while her father and boyfriend (and members of his family) were in the audience, which added a beautiful layer of vulnerability and surprises.
