Thank god Rachel Austin is back in theater. She’s the only woman I know who can spin together original music (you’ll find yourself humming it days later), compelling puppetry, and snappy, personal storytelling with universal threads of love and loss. Grief can also bring out the sillies and Rachel struck a beautiful balance between hard-earned advice and acceptance of our lack of control against the universe. It was such a beautiful show, I wish I could see it (crying + laughing through tears) again! ...

The show was a fantastic blend of nostalgia and dark comedy. Rachel does an amazing job introducing the audience to her Mom and the bond they had. 20 minutes in, the entire audience is in tears. The story makes you reflect, feel a deep sense of want for a parent, and go through the stages of grief....

The Do Over rocked me in the best way. I can't stop thinking about it. It was funny, poetic, heartbreaking, therapeutic and a beautiful tribute to the loss of a beloved parent. Rachel provided the audience with an experience that bonded those who have dealt with loss, especially the loss of a parent. The production was stellar. I am so fortunate to have gotten to experience such a beautiful work of art....
