I loved how Rachel interacted with her Mom without anyone there, I saw her just as clearly as Rachel did. I think the technical elements were smart and woven in perfectly. Not to mention the SONGS. Her song about being left with all of her Mom’s stuff was so touching. Material items carry so much weight emotionally and it was a perfect song to express that. I could also look around at the audience and see how invested everyone was with this story which is also a special feeling.
What I didn't like
Nothing it was spectacular!
My overall impression
The show was a fantastic blend of nostalgia and dark comedy. Rachel does an amazing job introducing the audience to her Mom and the bond they had. 20 minutes in, the entire audience is in tears. The story makes you reflect, feel a deep sense of want for a parent, and go through the stages of grief.
