What I liked

Rachel’s deft comedic timing is on par with her authenticity & grief, the anthropomorphic, inanimate characters that speak to her, the brilliantly articulate guitar (you’ll see how!), the unadorned messy literal & figurative pieces of your loved one’s life, which loss asks you to sift through, are all shaped BEAUTIFULLY by insightful, fearless director Shayne Eastin.

What I didn't like

I thought it all worked! I love Rachel Austin & Shayne Eastin’s work, and I highly recommend seeing The Do Over!!!! Cowgirl hats off to Rachel, Shayne & the entire team!

These are just curiosities to share in case they hold meaning to creators but discard if they don’t spark anything! I wonder if the planning for an amazing day/excel spreadsheet elements introduced to such great effect at the beginning, could show up again as outro to the show — when Rachel is beginning again, and her Mother’s powerful closing words of love are delivered, perhaps they could be excel spreadsheet-delivered with more quotidian elements of the day, like the show begins with – even briefly? Perhaps?? Or her powerful words ARE the different to do’s for the day? Or an outro song that talks about the new beginning in a way that calls back to the style of first song?

My overall impression

Rachel Austin’s relateable one woman show of losing her Mother will let you laugh more often than you cry!
