The Do Over

Rachel’s performance was remarkable and brilliant. Sweet and tart in equal measure, it drew me in from the very beginning and held me in its spell until the final moments. The production is mesmerizing, weaving together warmth, humor, and heartfelt emotion with remarkable ease. The writing sparkles with wit and genuine laugh-out-loud moments, yet beneath the humor is a deep current of love and humanity. I was completely entertained by her deep dive into her relationship with her mom, it brought back my relationship with my mom which I’m sure everyone in the audience connects to. You will fall in love with Rachel and her love for her mom. She makes their relationship very present and real, with playful and imaginative flourishes throughout. The magic file cabinet was genuinely delightful, and the (spoiler alert) death scene was so emotionally real and beautifully conceived...
