What I liked

Pure acting at its finest!!! I already knew both actors from previous productions, and I came with high expectations: they did not only meet them, but greatly exceeded them.
Mr. Garcia is a master of the art, his relation and use of the props and costumes is so personalized and full of meaning that you find yourself wondering if he’s acting or just living on stage.
Mr. Sechrist shines in his heavily emotional delivery of lines, very simple and down to earth, which makes you root for him and leaves you pending in his intentional and expressive silences.
Their chemistry and total trust of each other are just the cherry on top of such perfect casting and amazing performances. It was easy to see myself in both characters, to understand their place in life, to feel their pain and to hope for them to find a compromise true and worth for both.

What I didn't like

The writing could help some more work on it: I found some inconsistencies slightly distracting and hard to believe. If Simon is indeed a famous actor, wouldn’t he always have someone around on set? And more, on set wouldn’t the actors be mic’d up and surrounded by crew for them to have such long private conversations?
I wished also to know more about the body. It is said it looks a lot like Simon: coincidence or something more, considering what is coming after…

My overall impression

A play underlying the generational conflict on dramatic themes such as life, suicide and mental health, enriched by the comedic duo of actors in different stages of their career. The youth spirit and hunger for life and mental stability confronting the peace of mind and acceptance of an older man ready to give up. Is the routine a blessing to be thankful for, or a limitation of wonder and discovery? This dramedy will not give you any solution, but it creates the perfect space for you to find your own truth, and question it from different perspectives equally valuable.
