What I liked

I especially enjoyed the actors performing in this show.

Joe Garcia does an amazing job balancing comedy and drama, his delivery feeling very conversational and grounded in truth – which keeps you captivated the whole time. He brings layers to his character that not everyone could nail, reminding us how much talent he carries as an artist and craftsman.

Cody Sechrist brings such rich, contagious energy to the stage, creating such a endearing character that you root for all the way till the end. He has an authentic performance that also feels very grounded in truth, allowing for witty banter that never feels pushed.

These two actors clearly spent time on developing these characters into something real and lived in, not just words on loose-leaf paper.

What I didn't like

I really enjoyed watching the show, and would love to provide constructive criticism, but cannot think of anything at this time.

My overall impression

“A Rock Feels No Pain” already feels like a short classic contemporary play that all can enjoy. The script is hilarious — filled with lots of slapstick, witty banter, and dueling perspectives that create comedic clash. But the drama is also well written and performed — filled with deep layers that audiences will leave the theater thinking about long after the curtains close. Everyone involved should be proud of their work in this debut production of “A Rock Feels No Pain!”
