The musical numbers were great. The characterization was great. That musical theatre quality was great. I mean, why is a song about “pissing on hospitality” making me think of Christina Rossetti’s The Goblin Market? Come on. Loved it.
What I didn't like
The gripe… I wish the cast had been mic’d. I wanted to consume every word, but some got lost in the sauce of the incredible live music happening right next to our seats.
My overall impression
I’m sorry, but what in the actually hell? This show made me want to watch Trolls 2, and I had never even heard of it before. So funny. So silly. So grotesque. I loved it.
