What I liked

The music, the stories, the spilled martinis… This sloppy drunk, who may or may not be fully disassociated from reality, is an absolute pleasure to spend 45 minutes with. The characters, the writing, the chemistry between the actors, the crowd work… It all works and leads to an amazing show. Check it out!

What I didn't like

Nothing at all.

My overall impression

Micki Maxwell is such a powerhouse character delivered with spontaneity and bile (and if you see this show, you’ll know what a compliment that is). Shayna’s character work here is so strong, her voice is amazing, and the relationship developed between Micki and her pianist Dimitri (played by Jonathan) is hilarious. Dimitri is also such an incredible character and gets his own laughs throughout. So fun and funny and just a joy to take in Shayna’s vocals.
