Linda’s career is incredible and listening to her recount her career is a true masterclass in show business.
Linda’s self effacing delivery makes her and her story even more endearing. She recounts working on hundreds of hours of television and concerts with the biggest rock stars which such humility.
Linda is a great storyteller that knows when to crack a joke and when bare it all. The honestly as she shares about her life and family is palpable.
What I didn't like
I know it’s a hard topic, but I wish the pieces of the curse were actually woven into the story a bit more rather than left for the ending (which is wonderful and so poignant). I guess for me I wanted to learn more about how a woman with that incredible jet-setting life gets through life’s terrible set backs. I feel that is the core of Linda’s story, how she managed to overcome all that adversity and not let the tragedy defined her as she climbed to higher and higher heights and I guess I wanted to learn more about that because it’s the inspiration I need to wrestle with the challenges in my own life.
My overall impression
A Latina icon tells it all in a beautiful, inspiring and heartbreaking story of grit, strength and determination. Linda Mendoza candidly recounts her incredible life and career in music, TV and as a TV and film director, sharing stories that go from funny to shocking to heartbreaking.
