STRONG STOIC STRAITZ: ALPHA PODCAST FOR MALE KINGS (a musical)

This might be my favorite show of the festival. And after it's all said and done (so long as I don't miss any in the next couple days), I'll have seen 72 shows. So, trust me. It is one of the funniest shows I have EVER seen, not just at this Fringe. It is peak satire, brilliantly written, performed, and produced. And the music is amazing! One of the funniest thing I've seen at fringe ever. I thought going into this at the 20-30 minute mark I'd get bored but NOPE. Strong and comedic and exciting throughout. They explored these topics in such playful and fun ways -relaly brought the audience along and the topics are so ripe for comedy. Really well done. The elon esq tech character performer was so good with her cadence and body work and mannerisms. The younger buff one with socks in his pants was so good at playing the heart and also the airhead lines. Really loveable idiot. Kudos to Mike Hadge and this hilarious and testosterone-laden musical podcast! With an outstanding all-female cast, "Strong Stoic Straitz" has all the answers to the world's problems, and these bros are here to prove it. Featuring an all-original score by Hadge, this show is bro-centric, bro-tastic and this cast's voices blend and melt like buttah, but wait, bro, don't say that like Barbra Streisand, because that would be Woke.... full review

I was very excited to see this show and thought I knew what to expect, but it is so much more than you assume it will be in the best way possible. I don't want to spoil the show, but each character is fleshed out and the script takes you on a journey, rather than relying on jokes for its entirety. I was ready to have a fun night dogging on the patriarchy (which I did), but I was also reminded that stereotypical, rigid masculinity is harmful even to those that participate in it. A hilarious premise executed to perfection by a dynamic cast and amazing creative team! The jokes come at you a mile a minute and the heartfelt moments are surprisingly sweet. FANTASTIC! The “dudes” are perfectly represented. The lyricism and composition of the music are impressive. I love the harmonies and dance numbers. The phallic Train of Grievances had me in stitches. The Phantom guest at the end brought it to a whole ‘nother level. Well done, everyone!... full review
