Easily my favorite show of the fringe. Jackie had the audience captivated from the start of the show and kept us totally engaged throughout. Such a ridiculously good time! I never knew what was coming next. She blends clown with horror and a bit of burlesque in all the right ways. A very unique and extraordinary experience!... full review

It was amazing! Such a great, creepy atmosphere and I loved the juxtaposition of tension and silliness throughout the show. Packs a real emotional punch as well (great third act). Absolutely one of my favorite shows of the fringe festival.... full review

Hysterical is a terrifying spectacle about doors and the dresses that are caught in them. From lights up to lights down, Jackie Skinner has the audience in the palm of her glovéd hand. Btw, if you like lights up and lights down you’re gonna love Hysterical. The lights turn on and off a lot! Jackie Skinner is so goooood at clown. Watching her try to open a notebook with too many notes stuck in it!! Are you kidding? Trying to close a door that won’t stay close? Sooo stupid. The skill of Jackie’s clown work is purifying. Hysterical’s use of tension -- both in its patient comedy and in its genuinely terrifying moments — feels new and pays off in a moving and disturbing and thoroughly entertaining show. Tension you can cut with a check!! (Produce... full review

Probably my favorite show of this year's Fringe! It's beautiful and funny and horrifying. It also felt like the show welcomed an audience. The production value felt high, the performance and tone felt so intentional... An incredible watch. Especially from a clown, there's no other show like this one. ... full review

Earnestly this is a masterpiece. Jackie Skinner is one of the most talented performers in Los Angeles. She is incredibly present, blurring the lines between herself and Beautiful Woman. I felt truly moved by the end of the show. It is funny, it's sad, it's creepy, it's everything I wanted to see in a Fringe show. This is a Max Charbonneau Must See. ... full review

Extremely compelling, funny, dark, occasionally scary, emotionally vulnerable piece of theater right here. Jackie is doing something exciting marrying horror with clown, and it's working. I thoroughly enjoyed this and encourage you to check it out.... full review

Humor that's twisted, unsettling, and sticks in your bones. Jackie opens with mesmerizing glove work that immediately pulls you into the performance, leading you deeper and deeper into her brilliantly warped imagination. By the end, you're not entirely sure whether you're awake or dreaming. If you loved Eraserhead's 'Lady in the Radiator', this show is for you. ... full review
