What I liked
The first thing that got me was the score; the background sound for the first half of the piece was perfectly spooky and subtle! Jackie’s timing and ability to go with the flow, take in any hiccups or surprises, and somehow incorporate them into a bit is unreal!
What I didn't like
I just wish that the crowd would be as present as Jackie is. There were genuine turns, moments of unease and fear that were often glossed over by the audience as comedic thereby cutting them short.
My overall impression
Finally, a haunting clown show! A piece about dealing with grief, our shortcomings and that which we cannot see. Jackie is such a naturally observant and present performer, she’s captivating to watch from the moment she steps on stage.
