The humor occupied a very specific register that’s incredibly difficult to pull off—and it’s exactly the kind of comedy I love. I especially appreciated the nods to vaudeville, silent cinema, and 1920s horror. Those influences were woven into the show in a way that felt original–creating an eerie and hilarious theatrical world.

My overall impression
Humor that’s twisted, unsettling, and sticks in your bones. Jackie opens with mesmerizing glove work that immediately pulls you into the performance, leading you deeper and deeper into her brilliantly warped imagination. By the end, you’re not entirely sure whether you’re awake or dreaming. If you loved Eraserhead’s ‘Lady in the Radiator’, this show is for you.
