What I liked

I am a huge scaredy cat and there were parts of this show I had to watch through my hands!! I feel like it’s difficult to make effective scary theater, and I felt genuine dread. That being said, I was impressed at how Jackie played with tension, moving us from moments where we’re holding our breath to moments where we’re cracking up. This is a piece that you can truly dream around… the dress, the props, Jackie’s face, all of it is so evocative. Definitely see this show.

Jackie Skinner is stuck in a David Lynch nightmare theater, and we’re in it, too. An incredibly compelling cocktail of clown and and horror. Laugh, scream, gasp, get tickled, feel the chills down your spine…
