A unique and refreshing hour into the mind of the playwright and performer.
What I didn't like
With more funding and more running time, this could be a major success on the worldwide stage.
My overall impression
With Spencer Waldner’s “Daddy Issues” a star is not just born, he is fully realized. Waldner’s analysis of analysis balances being both introspective and outward looking, awkward but familiar, deeply moving and genuinely hilarious. As a performer, Waldner is fully committed to being fully committed, and his natural magnetism keeps you hooked from the start. By holding a mirror to himself, he subsequently has the audience also look within themselves , and we all benefit from a bit of therapy.
