What I liked
I loved the simplicity of the staging and set pieces. The set up at the beginning led the audience on a journey that we were more than willing to take.
What I didn't like
It’s hard to be critical of a solo show because when the viewer starts to offer suggestions about things to change, then it wouldn’t be within the writer’s intention, or vision. I wouldn’t change a thing.
My overall impression
Likable, charming, unassuming, approachable, trusting. To some actors these may seem like filler words to describe an actor’s performance. On the contrary, these are Spencer Waldner’s super powers that bring to life a very powerful story of finding one’s place in the world and to be more specific, to find the root cause of one’s identity. Spencer is a wonderful story teller and actor and I encourage everyone to see Daddy Issues.
