What I liked
I really liked the minimalist nature of the show, Waldner dressed in raw denim and a cotton t-shirt against exposed brick. We’re really getting down to the basics here.
I also liked when he said “ ‘ello poppet”

My overall impression
What an honor it must be to receive a letter from Waldner. Someone so articulate and honest. In a successful solo show the performer has the opportunity to share their deeply personal story and hope it connects with the audience be that through humor, familiarity, or specificity. Spencer succeeded in all three. Watching this show is getting to know him but also connecting us to each other.
