Seventy-five minutes passed in the blink of an eye. This piece, written from his intertwined mind & heart, engaged both my mind and heart as SW took the audience on this navigation of his emotional realizations and “no turning back” breakthroughs. Brilliantly told through three “characters”, he shares his journey of enlightenment, and the repercussions of sharing those truth(s). The characters are distinct, clearly defined, and gently moved us through what may have been the most challenging chapter(s) of his life to date. I could not be more happy that this thought-provoking piece will transfer to the Edinburgh Fringe in August!
What I didn't like
The piece has clearly been workshopped and refined to it present state. The 75-minute play and its performance were polished, engaging, and compelling.
My overall impression
So grateful Spencer shared this glimpse into his cathartic self-discoveries and how he chose to reveal them – for better or worse.
