What I liked

Natural performances such that at one point I wondered if the two actors were actually related. Smooth rhythm, tight script. And of course the two #NoSpoilers HOLY SHIT moments…especially the second one where I think I accidentally said “o wait whut” not in my inside voice.

For me, that it was a Black family/brothers it hit even harder to my heart. (The story works with any ethnic group, but…well…You Know….not all ethnic groups are given the grace of a full range of humanity.)

I also like the set. #NoSpoilers PAY ATTENTION TO THE SET DRESSING.

What I didn't like

10/10 no notes on performance/production, BUT a tiny note on this bit in the promo:

“A psychological drama (a la Manchester By The Sea meets Twilight)…” <— REVIEWER EDIT TO ANY SEEING THIS.

The production PR team actually meant “Twilight ZONE” which is 100% accurate because absolutely this would have been Rod Serling Approved. So I deleted what I had written about the Twilight bit to clarify.

Go see this show it’s so good!

My overall impression

An excellent, spooky glimpse into a family dynamic where conflict exists, but not at the expense of love and empathy. Balancing that is a delicacy not often seen. Gorgeous performances and excellent story.
