Laurel is such an articulate and captivating performer! I could watch her, watching paint dry. Or in this case, putting on ghost make up. Her facial expressions are hilarious and the car bit was perfection.
What I didn't like
Because this concept relies so heavily on the events and reflections Kathleen experiences, I’d be interested to see how it changes over time. What might this piece look like in a year? Five? Ten? How might her thoughts and feelings around her divorce change thereby informing the piece?
My overall impression
A meta-comedy about the Laurel’s experience at last year’s Fringe, juggling her first time on stage and first divorce. A fantastic concept (and a treat for those who got to see the production this one is centered around!) with excellent execution.
