I loved how clean and effective the staging was in both I Hate How You Dress (by Beth Polsky) and Our Cemetery (by Grant Gottschall); the simple set design kept the focus on the writing and the performances. The dialogue moved quickly, the pacing never sagged, and the laughs always felt earned rather than cheap. The connection to Our Town in Our Cemetery was especially satisfying, adding a layer of resonance without ever becoming heavy-handed. Across both pieces, the cast delivered standout work, shifting smoothly between big laughs and more serious moments that held my full attention, and I walked away really impressed by how sharp and thoughtful the writing was.

My overall impression
Both pieces made for a really satisfying night of theatre. Each one was smart, funny, and surprisingly moving, with staging that kept things lively and clear without ever feeling fussy or overproduced. I felt fully entertained and genuinely appreciated how thoughtfully both scripts balanced humor and pathos.
