Stellar acting, directing, lighting, sound and costumes, as well as writing that includes satisfying endings. Bravo!
What I didn't like
Can’t think of a thing.
My overall impression
Two fun short plays set in a cemetery have a lot going on under their comedic surface. “I Hate How You Dress” is about death and the afterlife, mothers and personal responsibility. Funny and biting, but also sweet and hopeful. It brought a tear to my eye.
“Our Cemetery” riffs on Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, bringing together a group of theater kids 50 years after their last onstage performance. Long-buried passions and resentments ring true, both entertaining and sparking recognition.
