What I liked
It was exciting to attend a preview show where all the tech elements seemed to go off without a hitch and we could just revel in two fully-cooked shows. I was a fan of the whole cast. Genny Wilson is a brilliant director, which was so clear watching the cast of “Our Cemetery” navigate the script’s twists, turns, ups and downs with naturalism, groundedness, and grace.
What I didn't like
I would love to see each of these breathe as longer, developed pieces in a double feature format, but with an intermission to ease the tonal switch!
My overall impression
A delightful pair of one-acts that engage themes of morbidity and mortality with a lot of heart. Lots of humor, a very engaged audience, and particularly stellar performances from all five actors in “Our Cemetery.”
