Good twist in the first story. The dead mother’s outfit was FIRE – how appropriate considering the title “I hate how you dress” and she looks FABULOUS! The moment she popped out she STOLETHESHOW. Her character was so funny.
Rebecca O’Brien and Michael Dempsey re-entering the scene all dissheveled was one of the funniest moments of the second piece. Hilarious.
What I didn't like
It was strange that one of the headstones from the first piece was placed on the floor in the front of the stage for the second piece. It was sitting right in front of me, which was great for me, but it didn’t serve any purpose there, and I’m not sure why NOT just have it on the stage at the edge of the stage so folks in the back can better see it. If you were striking it – strike it completely? – idk.
My overall impression
Lots of LAUGHOUTLOUD moments! While one show is really comedy-driven with the absurd, the second show pulls at your heartstrings. The dead mother’s line about her husband – “He was WEAK” almost buried me there with the rest of the dead – SO funny.
