What I liked
The simplicity of the music added childlike wonder to the show. Her proclamations of love brought us into her world, and Midge into our hearts.

My overall impression
Midge invites us into her spaceship of oddity and music and tells us we can’t leave. By the end of the show, I didn’t want to. Bean vs the Robots is beautiful postcard to the playfulness of childhood and the processing of grief. Silly at times but also touching and sweet, Midge’s performance will stay with me for a while. I hope audiences in Edinburgh appreciate what they are getting.
