About the Project
Having purchased a “Day Pass” to The BizNest through Hollywood Fringe, you arrive at this real, fictional coworking space on the day of Pitch-a-Palooza, The BizNest’s entrepreneurial pitch competition. You sip coffee, chat with fellow BizNesters, and while you’ve planned to work from The BizNest for “the day” (condensed into an evening—or matinee—of theatre), once the manager shows you to your desk, you find it difficult to get work done because the personal lives of The BizNesters are so engaging. Also snacks.
As you learn about BizNesters’ personal challenges from the comfort of your wheeled office chair, you may engage in BizNest traditions, collaborate to problem solve, and opt to pitch your real business (in brief!). With all of this activity, including a very social lunch in the “middle of the day,” you discover what it feels like to have the community of a co-working space and the loving relationships—and wacky escapades—of sitcom characters.
