Jared Keil, the writer and the performer of this one-man show, is a poet and a wordsmith. As an actor as well, in both theatre and film, he brings all of his talents at once to this project; I saw many audience members literally shaking their head when leaving the theatre after witnessing his ability to describe in such clear and poetic depth the intimate details of his internal and external life that brought him to this point. Surely, very few humans can -- or even would -- stand on a stage alone and invite the world to judge one's every move, decision, and choice in that often painful gap between life and death.... full review

Thought-provoking, articulate, complicated and never giving in to a narrative arcs characterized by facile resolution. Exemplified the reality and tarnished nobility of the struggle of the human condition through a narrative pain, precariousness, tragedy, lament and the diffident hope for redemption and meaning. Exit Wounds was a deeply moving story tracing the arc of the actors life from early childhood through love, loss, and everything in between. Jared didn’t just perform this story, he invited you into it, creating true intimacy with us the audience. At its heart, this is a story about resilience, but also about acceptance, about learning to love and understand yourself, and about recognizing that our imperfections are not flaws in the story but an essential part of it.
