Day After Day (the Life and Music of Doris Day)

What I liked

Both Robin and Showman are highly effective, with fantastic presence and voices, with Mr. Showerman doing a great deal of the storylines heavy lifting. You just might leave this chronological musical humming the songs and perhaps looking up one of Doris Day’s classic films. I know I will!

My overall impression

Wholesome and homogenized, there’s nothing sweeter than “Day After Day: The Life and Music of Doris Day,” starring Deborah Robin and Christopher Showerman. Whether or not this is your type of fringe show, it’s undeniable the power and effect that Doris Day had on the entertainment industry. Ms. Day had nearly as many top singles and hit movies as Ms. Robin has costume changes in this show! :)
