I enjoyed the realism of the show, and the commitment to the bits. Also Maya was fantastic, when she finally got to go off at the end, the crowd was entirely on her side, it was so cathartic.
What I didn't like
I thought it well done, and the rough spots made it seem realistic. I would have like a reminder of how much closer we are til Austin Comedy Fest.
My overall impression
As someone who’s been in the improv world for almost 2 decades, this whole show felt real.
It’s exploration on how one bad apple can ruin the experience of the bunch, had my nervous system on edge. I could still laugh because of the commitments to the bits, character work, and lovability of the actors.
While the build up to the climax is intense. Joke Hold does a great job capturing the intimacy and connections of being on a creative team, good and bad.
