What I liked
This was fun. I really enjoyed myself.
Love the tone of the piece. It knew what it was and was not taking itself seriously. I laughed throughout at so many great jokes.
Loved how the writing was repetitive in a way that felt cyclical, lyrical. Like we were in a fable. A sex fable. Great choice by the author.
That puppet show was hilarious and completely unexpected.
All the performers were so bold. Not only were they prancing around the stage in underwear, but also they were razor sharp in their comedic choices.
The actress that played the wife in particular was a stand out!
What I didn't like
I personally did not love the save the pacific tree octopus dance sequence. I felt it slowed the plot and it was not riotously funny enough to justify the slow down. (Other than I assume the actors needed the time to do some wardrobe changes).
My overall impression
The title says it all. This is a fun sex farce with sea creatures.
