I absolutely ADORED this show. As a lover (and writer) of musical theatre I was floored by how inventive, touching, tender, hilarious, and crisp this performance was. The cast were all on the same exact page regarding the goofy, sweet, “Theatre for Young Audiences” tone and I was utterly endeared by it. It’s so easy to get it wrong with kid-friendly shows, but this team had me laughing and smiling from start to finish while feeling so inspired as a writer.
The songs and vocal harmonies are truly fantastic, but I was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous underscoring throughout that supported the emotion of each scene. For me, that’s what made it feel like a professional production. The dream sequence where Jeremy faces each one of his fears was hands down my favorite part. It was the most magical staging and scoring I’ve seen at Fringe.

My overall impression
This musical is pure joy and whimsy. It was like if Spelling Bee and Seussical had a baby. It was incredibly tight, well-paced, and polished with charming lyrics, beautiful songs, and a lovely message. I want every little kid to see this show and understand how to support their quirky, nervous friends. I can’t rave about this show enough!!
