My overall impression
A well written and smartly performed one-person play, this very personal exploration of an American family’s journey is one of the highlights of the Fringe. It’s not an in your face, throw stuff on the wall and see what sticks production so typical at the Fringe; it grapples with inherent racism with humor and sensitivity. Fanshen’s performance is inclusive, heartfelt, intelligent and seasoned. Definitely see it.
