- Randa’s talent in moving through the embodiment of several different characters
- the embedded storytelling within the show
- the Björk detail was such a shift, but made sense and worked (even with my limited Björk knowledge)
What I didn't like
- extend the run!
- I missed the year that this was set in, which I think was in the first few lines, so I wished I knew that detail, but it didn’t stop me from understanding the work as a whole
My overall impression
Randa manages to capture the grief and rage of this political moment while also offering genuinely funny comedic moments. It can feel trite to call artwork “necessary for our times,” but that does feel like the best way to describe this play.
