Riley Smith and Cole Cuomo come onstage at a 10 and never let up. Yes, the jokes are funny but what really sells this is their refusal to laugh at themselves. Their earnest belief gets our attention as it’s anchored by innovative arrangements of a trickier album in terms of musicality than what you may think.
What I didn't like
Nothing, just keep bringing us more Bruce.
My overall impression
A clown satire of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska. It might be for a niche audience, but I am definitely that audience. Ridiculously silly and completely earnest, Husky Whispers: Baked Alaska is one of the best under-the-radar Fringe shows you’ll see this year.
