A beautiful story about fleeing Vietnam after the US pulled out. Vivi does a wonderful job of painting a detailed portrait of her family’s history. She’s a fantastic storyteller and I loved the pragmatism in which she told her story. Beyond the horrors of fleeing a collapsing country, there is a beautiful message about the importance of preserving your family history.... full review

Loved this little piece so very much! Such a heartfelt, intriguing story of a very different part of Vietnam than I knew little to nothing about. Vivi's performance was so completely endearing -- leaning into the energy of each of her family members as they encountered roadblock after roadblock but did not break. Very powerful. Left me & everyone I spoke with wanting more.... full review
