About the Project
The reading club is about 3 women who are part of a different kind of reading club. They are all of Latinx decent and get together to talk about their respective lives. While catching up with each other we, and they, learn that their friendship can be tested by the lives they’ve been leading. The perfect one end up having to come to terms to a big secret that makes her life not as perfect. The wise one seems to forget that lives is not just what you know but also what you feel. And the young one is the one that comes to the club for guidance to end up guiding the group herself by sharing her truth. Love, politics, self doubts all clash into what is supposed to be an afternoon of “reading”. At the end we see that this group of women do not read books per sei and that they are more than ordinary women.
