Hilarious and SO well-written! I hope I can go back during Fringe - because there's so much going on and being said, no one could possibly catch it all the first time. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. GO!... full review

Oh my god, so funny! Whether, like me, you're a Shakespeare buff or, like my boyfriend, Shakespeare isn't really your thing, you will heartily enjoy this play. My boyfriend usually can barely understand Elizabethan language, but he laughed throughout the entire performance! And the cast is incredibly talented. Forget double casting; this play has gotta be quadruple cast, and each character was totally unique and fully fleshed out, complete with very different accents. Such a good show. I highly recommend it!!... full review

Bad costumes, hammy actors, rotten stage combat, ridiculous death scenes, a romantic leading man who obviously bats for the other team...Sound rotten? Not when it's done on purpose! King Phycus is a hilarious satire on all the things we've come to hate about poorly done productions of Shakespeare. Take a group of seasoned classical actors who obviously know their stuff, and let them go to town chewing up the scenery. Watch as they mix the complex plot lines of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies into an exceptionally humorous one act comedy. Recommended!... full review

A funny show with a clever premise and a good cast. Drew Doyle had a wickedly well-timed delivery, and Jason Thomas was hilarious with his quick changes between Romeo and Hamlet. Sometimes I have trouble sitting still for two hours, and I don't think I am alone in this. Wasn't a problem for King Phycus. No "shifting in the seats" for the show either. The audience was into it the whole time. Highly recommended!... full review

I could not believe just how ridiculously funny this show was! The audience roared with laughter for the entire duration of the show. These particular actors and actresses are truly the masters of their craft. Their acting, comedic skills, and delivery are mind-blowing. I would recommend this silly yet witty play to absolutely everyone. Well done.... full review

You really need to understand something thoroughly if you're going to parody it well -- and these guys obviously know their Shakespeare! They don't miss a joke in this hilarious romp, but through all the hysterical sight gags, quick changes, and dance numbers(!) they're able to speak this difficult pun-filled verse perfectly. It's not possible to pick a standout -- each actor is terrific in multiple roles -- and the real star is their tight ensemble work. The late night crowd went crazy for them. Huzzah!... full review

OMG - what can be said that hasn't already been said about this incredible show, surely the Best Comedy Show at Fringe this year. Such a hodgepodge of Shakespeare and pop culture references, it felt like a production of Reduced Shakespeare's Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). I laughed until I cried, especially when the cast lost it hear the end as one of the actor's realized his mother was in the front row watching. It was hysterical! King Phycus is a laugh riot, and a damn good show as well!... full review
