Fantastic show! Definitely one of the best shows I've seen at Fringe and a level of work that is going beyond Fringe to a larger audience. Such a well crafted, well-paced, funny, and even touching at times. Clever and delicious dialogue and specific staging that felt immersive yet earnest. Honest and nuanced performances that helped ground us in these larger than life characters. So layered, would love to see this again if this wasn't the last show :) Bravo!...

A brilliant encapsulation of a very dense period of comic book publishing history. The creations and work of Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Joe Simon, Steve Ditko, and Wally Wood persist to this day as games, books, shows, cartoons, and film. The turmoil that surrounded the workplace and lives of these smart and flawed creators is brought to life by a fantastically well-tuned cast and an excellent script. The quick pace and deft direction make excellent use of both cast and space. Excelsior!...

Before the show, in line, a father and son were reading who the characters are. “Who is Martin Goodman?” I had to butt in and say “That’s the publisher, before comics he was publishing pulp magazines. Also he’s Stan Lee’s uncle-in-law” later on, the play corrected my trivia. “Who is Steve Ditko?” I said “Creator of Spider-Man”. I came in VERY knowledgeable about these people and this story. In interviews with these creators, there are often conflicting accounts of what happened. This play was able to capture that! I hope you have another run soon so I can get all my friends to see it....

Truly a great play with a pretty great cast and great lighting and damnit if they didn't figure out how to fully transform that space on a fringe time frame. Impressed....

The Men Who Drew the Universe is a spectacularly staged production that makes the 90 minute runtime fly by. Terrific performances, a tight, witty script, and a brisk pace make this an exciting historical field trip where everyone has a dark side to them....
