What I liked
One Room Theater is built on the idea of a show being set in one room, and I feel like that worked so well in the context of My Brother’s Room. The writing was phenomenal, the set was great (and accurate) and the performances were so fantastic.
What I didn't like
In my honest opinion, I can’t come up with any critiques. Even the set, which was hand built in a garage, was perfect for the down-to-earth (sometimes chaotic) energy of Hollywood Fringe. Again, the One Room Theater team are some of the most hard working folks I know, and they put in work to make this show run smoothly, and hit every mark.
My overall impression
How refreshing it is to see a play so full of heart, sincerity, and real human experiences. My Brother’s Room was such a sweet piece of theater, filled to the brim with integrity and just the right amount of dark humor. Angus, Abi, Will, and Luka all poured their heart and soul into this production and it shows. I give it my utmost recommendation to fringe goers!!
