Prith is an endearing performer, while also having an impressive command of his physicality. It is the kind of show that sneaks up on you in the way it wins you over.

My overall impression

Sweet, silly, and surreal, GULP! takes the audience through an absurd slow burn love story. Prith’s commitment and physicality invites us to get swept into his imagination; by the end we’re so with him that we get an unexpectedly tender and sincere tug of the heartstrings. I laughed. I cried. And then laughed at the fact that I was crying about a banana.
