A great group of ideas and explorations on folk mythology by an energetic cast. The show boasts some good looking puppets and ideas, but they are not used to their full effect. A rough blend of storytelling, commedia, and clown that never seems to really find itself in the 90-minute run-time. The show opens with promise with a variety of clever puppets and physical effects which gave me hope that I'd be seeing these used throughout. When similar opportunities arise later, the show resorts to projection effects to create the creatures rather than puppetry or shadow play.... full review

Trickster was a delight from start to finish!! Gorgeous costumes! Marvelous physicality from each performer that will keep you spellbound the whole time. A riotously funny mashup of creation and character-based myths, one after another of phenomenal hits, each with a unique take. There was an excellent compositional quality of aloof, silly fun followed by heartfelt, impactful narrative. Every actor onstage masters movement in a way that will surely leave your jaw on the floor.... full review

Beautiful piece showcasing so many innovative ways of storytelling-puppetry, choral work, physical work, lotsa clowning, and an AMAZING live musician! Every element of this piece was so intentional and cozy while maintaining a twee clowning sensibility that kept you engaged through occasional adult jokes in the tellings of stories many of us have heard since we were children.
