I liked the relationship between the female Republican politician and the struggling gay male playwright. Their cat and mouse game of who can get more information out of the other was fun to watch.
What I didn't like
I would have liked to have seen a different outcome, but then again that would have been a different play.
My overall impression
I think at times we all find ourselves in a room with people that we have zero in common with. The challenge; to leave, or make the most out of the company presented to us. Such is the case for the three characters in Things We Said Tonight.
