What I liked
I loved the acting. Both Brittany Beall and Nikolas Fawcett brought bounties of energy and articulated difficult dialogue while connecting emotionally. I wanted them to kiss.
What I didn't like
I wanted an ending that spoke to a transformation in Congresswoman Shelly Seavers. I was disappointed in the cynicism.
My overall impression
Things We Said Tonight draws you into a swirl of dialogue between two lonely people. The emotional jousting between an odd couple is violently interrupted by a man in a suit. Two intellectually gifted people melt into a pool of emotion one of them drowning.
