What really set this piece apart for me was the intelligence and humor of the writing! It tackled so many of humanity's social issues through the delightfully abstract allegorical device of a wolf society (which has been tainted, of course, by influence from humans).... full review

I had no idea what to expect, and walking in to actors already on stage in character was quite different and I loved it. This play was unlike any I've seen. The acting was stellar, the subject matter, even through the mouths of wolves, was timely and relevant and the pacing was fantastic. I do hope this play grows to bigger and bigger audiences. ... full review

HANDS DOWN - the most compelling piece of theatre at this year's Fringe! And it all begins with a pack of wolves dining over their latest kill. Sounds simple enough. However, what happens when one member starts asking existential questions about who/what they are? Who defines that? Humans? Nature? Could this pack of wolves make a conscientious choice to be more like other animals who get along and don't frighten each other? Going a bit further, could they give up hunting... killing... meat? These questions and the deeper ones that resonate are all because of the talented, multifaceted Aaron Francis. His writing and direction conjure images that will sit with me long after this fringe closes. ENCORE. ENCORE. ENCORE.... full review

A well performed and well staged fable that serves as both a challenge to ones set ways but also, and conversely, as an in-group cautionary tale. ... full review

A beautiful show with a stellar cast. It's about so many things: how we exist together, the power of the words we use, and the danger of doing things because "that's how it's always been done." A hugely entertaining show that also gets you thinking! ... full review
