From the very beginning, Roz had the audience in the palm of her hand. She brought us directly into the room with her family and perfectly painted the unique characters from her trip to Africa. She is a captivating, engaging storyteller and an undeniable talent. I could listen to her tell stories all day! This show is incredibly polished and well thought-out. The technical elements were very satisfying and supported the story well. The thesis and theme of the show is set up from the very beginning, when Roz looks for black people in the crowd, sharing an all-knowing nod. As the show moves on, this nod and the search for black people develops more meaning and emotional resonance. An amazing way to spend an hour of your time.
What I didn't like
Nothing!!! Let’s get this show on a bigger stage!
My overall impression
A stand-out solo show of the Fringe. A must-watch for anyone looking to be moved to laughter, tears, and to walk away feeling touched. This is storytelling at its finest!
