Roz is an excellent storyteller. Her descriptions of the many scenes and characters in her story allow the audience to vividly imagine them. Props and audio and visual aids are minimal, consisting of family photos and video and a few well-timed sound cues, but I found them to be the perfect amount to allow the audience to focus on her telling her story of her trip and what she discovered along the way.
What I didn't like
Nothing. The writing and performance were wonderful.
My overall impression
Roz Browne takes you along on her journey, from her childhood in Boston, to her trip to Africa. She portrays all of the characters in her story so perfectly that by the end of the show, you feel like you really know her family and the travel group.
