My overall impression
I’ve always been a fan of Peppur and her writing. She writes for “real” people and what I mean by that is, as humans were all flawed in some way. She brings a humanity to her writing that is relatable. That being said, I loved the show. I thought it was innovative, funny, honest and smart. Great direction as well. My only note (if I can be brutally honest) is, to possibly recast the mom role. I thought all the actors did a great job but the woman who played the mother was overacting so much that it was almost distracting. I wasn’t the only one who shared that sentiment as it was talked about after the show. I’m sure she’s a wonderful actress but maybe this just wasn’t the role for her. Just my two cents. Looking forward to seeing this play grow. Congrats Peppur! :)
