“The Regulars”. This gritty peice follows the happenings of one night in the bar “Memeories”.
We learn about the bar and the regular costumers that frequent it, as our bartender narrates the story along.
The story and dialogue is written to be poetically dark, and amusing at times.
The stage is divided into three acting areas:
THEBAR, where most of the action takes place. There’s nothing upscale or pretentious about this bar but it’s not a dive, either. It’s more of a cozy, neighborhood bar where the regular locals consider it a home away from home.
THESTREET, from where characters enter the bar. There is an old-fashioned street light which provides an amber glow when lit and a barely maintained phone booth, where people can make phone calls.
THEBOOTH is a hypothetical spot, stage left of the bar. It’s a nice booth that acts as a confessional, where characters sit and directly address the audience.
