A comedy magic show with non-stop banter and tricks from two polished pros. It's enjoyable, though my friend and I agreed that the magic was hardly mind-blowing. (One issue might be that they are largely performing close up magic on a huge stage). fringeblog.webs.com ... full review

***This review first appeared in LA Weekly*** For their slick and comical magic show David & Leeman: How to Convincingly Fake Honesty, our two card sharps pour forth a constant stream of smooth patter that is as perfectly timed as their split-second feats of prestidigitation, dexterous legerdemain, sleight-of-hand card tricks and stunts (they explain the difference), sight gags and silly bits of comedy. Frequently calling on the audience to participate, they delight with a series of miraculous routines. The three loose acts include a Dada-inspired entre'acte, and the swift 45-minute show concludes with an elaborate tribute to the charlatan spiritualists who spooked the early 19th century. Two charming gents perform magic amidst some hilarious bits. D&L have great chemistry and a wonderful way of making reluctant audience members join into their act without missing a beat. The space seemed a little too vast, but elegantly detailed scenery and props helped keep our focus. Their work was so well done that I wish they'd push it even more. Even so, if you're looking for a fun evening out with friends, FAKE HONESTY definitely delivers.... full review
